Apex fits the grip envelope you have actually ridden — peak lean, braking, drive, roll rate — then simulates the fastest lap that envelope allows around the line you already take. Not a better bike, not a better line. Just every corner at the limit you have already shown somewhere else on the same track.

    Bike & rider

    Mass and power set the pitch limits and the tractive model. Defaults are reasonable; the ones worth getting right are rider weight and rear-wheel power.

    Detected automatically from the fastest point of the session, which is on the longest straight and crossed once a lap. On UMC that agrees with the surveyed line to within a hundredth of a second, so this is an override for an unusual session rather than a step.
